Committed to Education
Parents and grandparents are a valuable part of our school community and give their time generously across the school assisting in a range of roles, from listening to an individual child read, to attending and supervising a small group of children on an education visits and everything in between, washing paint pots and even making costumes and displays for performances.
We have a core team of volunteers who support in all year groups as they are directed by teaching staff.
We appreciate the time and dedication our volunteers offer and understand this is a specific role. If you would like to be part of this team of volunteers please understand you will need to comply with our 'Safer Recruitment ' practices to be police checked in the same way our staff are as you will have direct contact with our children and safeguarding our children is of paramount importance to us.
Once your application and checks have been completed you will be added to the register of DBS checked volunteers. Please note you will then be called upon by all year groups to support at various events and visits as they require support.
Please remember our volunteers support our class teachers by increasing the adult/child ratio for the safety and wellbeing of all our children. You may be allocated a small group of children for whom you will be jointly responsible, this will not normally include your own child.
If you are thinking of volunteering with us to support all of our children please discuss volunteering with your childs class teacher in the first instance then email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org and Mrs Bailey will forward you the application pack.
Thank you for your support.
